At The Bronx Better Learning Charter School, growth is not just a goal, it is a measurable outcome. Our students consistently make more academic growth each year than students across the country on the NWEA assessment, demonstrating strong progress year after year. Following COVID-19 pandemic, student proficiency in ELA and math has increased by 35–60%, reflecting significant academic recovery and the effectiveness of our instructional approach across grade levels.

In addition to academic growth, families and staff consistently highlight the strength of our school community. Survey results show 100% favorable ratings in family outreach and school safety, reflecting a welcoming, supportive environment where families feel informed and engaged. We are also proud to maintain a 99% favorable rating for an inclusive learning environment and 97% for strong core instruction, signaling high confidence in both our teaching and school culture.

Our student retention rate exceeds 95%.

According to surveys conducted across BBL 1 and BBL 2 during the 2025 school year:

  • 98-100% of families feel that the Principals work to create a sense of community at the school. 
  • 98-99% of families say they are satisfied with the education their child received in the given school year.
  • 94-100% of teachers say they recommend BBL to families seeking an education for their child.
  • 96-97% of families say BBL offers a wide enough variety of programs, classes, and activities to keep their child interested in school.
  • 98% of families believes our school leaders nurtures individual agency and build collective capacity from teachers, parents, school community leaders, and students around a common vision of reform.
  • 97% of families feel respected and supported by both school leadership and teachers, and are treated as partners in their child's educational journey. 
  • 97% of families feel that Bronx Charter Schools for Better Learning provides their child with a sense of belonging.
